Sunday’s = Home made granola bars and coffee

Recipe

Toast 2 cups of rolled oats and 1/2 a cup of chopped almonds in the oven until just going golden.

Meanwhile put 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/3 cup of honey or agave nectar in a pan and heat until melted together. Leave to cool.

Roughly chop up half a cup each of sour cherries, cranberries. I also add a 1/4 cup each of pumpkin seeds and chopped walnuts and dried apricot.

Combine all of these ingredients together – then add 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips – put in a non stick tin and press down.

Cook in a 140 oven for about 10-15 minutes until just golden brown.

DONE.

Mama Lan

Lunch

Mama Lan, Brixton VillageIMG_3715 IMG_3784MAMA LAN IMG_3783IMG_7700

On Sunday, my sister and I went into Brixton for lunch. We went on a quest for dumplings – naturally Mama Lan is the place to go,  where you can watch mama Lan herself in the back making hand made dumplings right before you. Its like a little slice of Beijing in South London and in our book Mama Lan is the best restaurant in the market – their king prawn and water chestnut dumplings can’t be beaten…They’ve recently extended their menu and now do noodle soups too, much to my sisters excitement.

CHRISTMAS 14′

Some images from my festive fluoro Christmas table this year with help from Knot & Bow. We went for a multi-coloured madness, with some toy animals thrown in for fun – even the special christmas hippo making an appearance, as per… The home-made gingerbread men also went down a treat.

I was gifted with some beautiful trays from Danish brand HAY, which is my new obsession and will be for anybody into Scandi design and/or stationary. They’ve just opened a shop in Bath, so I’m planning on making the pilgrimage there sometime this year.

Happy 2015!

MAST BROTHERS

Mast Brothers Chocolate @ The Ace Hotel’s Bulldog Edition, Shoreditch.

MASTBROTHERS

Mast Brothers being available in London is something I’ve long awaited after having ogled their beautiful chocolate bars online. After a long wait, I’ve finally got my hands on some. I went by the Bulldog Edition, where not only are they selling the bars but also the Mast Brothers famous brewed chocolate, which I felt was obligatory to try. It’s a wonderfully weird concoction that appears much like a cup of tea, only it’s brewed cacao instead. Sounds strange, but with a touch of milk and maple syrup, you’re living the brewed chocolate dream. Comes in a cool geo print cup too (BONUS).

Saturday Mornings

KINFOLKKINFOLK II

Last night I went out for my friends birthday to Night Tales in East London. It was a great night, with insanely good burgers from Patty and Bun, DJ and whisky bar, but its Saturday morning so now I’m going to relax with the new Kinfolk magazine. One of my favourites.

London Brunch

RECOMMENDING |  Brunswick House Cafe Restaurant at Lassco

I visited Lassco today and had some brunch at their Brunswick House Cafe.

Lassco Brunch

Eating bacon sandwiches with spicy ketchup set in a crumbling Georgian townhouse, complete with cool cuban vibes. Lassco is totally worth exploring as well if you like yourself some architectural salvage.

Breakfast with Styleby

This mornings breakfast was accompanied by the latest issue of Elin Kling’s Styleby magazine that I picked up whilst in Stockholm this weekend as well as some of the postcards I bought from the Horst exhibit at the V&A yesterday.

Flowers To Go

Pumpkin shoppin

Stopped by the gorgeous The Fresh Flower Company today to get prepped for tomorrows festivities. Got my hands on some pretty blooms – they have a really unusual selection here, the best in SE22 if you ask me – unfortunately the comedy hand does not come included, sorry to disappoint. This mild weather is giving me the heebie-jeebies, I think I’ll snooze my alarm until winter decides to show.HalloweenPumpkin
