“A celebration of methods, materials and makers”
Following the September 2016 runway show, for one week, Burberry transformed a former Foyle’s bookstore into a cafe and showroom to celebrate the launch of their new collection. The London show venue was opened to the public and made home to a different group of Britain’s finest makers each day, who could be seen practicing their craft. These ranged from sculpting and embroidery to caligraphy and miniature portraiture. Not only this, but there was the chance to see the collection up close.
We loved how interactive Makers House was, and it was so inspiring to see how the collection was brought to life. Even better was the joy of finishing off the experience with a coffee and some cake from the beautiful Thomas’s cafe cake table – and a trip into the studio photobooth before the line got too long!
Watch the Burberry Show on here via youtube which was hosted at Makers House – the music is out of this world.

I visited the Tate Modern’s new building, Switch House last weekend. It was only a flying visit where we did a quick overview of the new galleries, got a coffee at Albion and then onto brunch at the Mondrian down the road. I am definitley booking in to go back to see the Georgia O’Keefe exhibit that is currently on at the main gallery when I’m not preocupied with finding the best hangover cure possible – FYI the Mondrian’s breakfast burrito did the trick…

Spent this morning with my sister enjoying the sunshine at Fields cafe on Clapham Common. Their ghetto omelette is killer, not to mention their slushies and Gen Mai cha soft serve with pickled cherries and rice – definitely photo worthy and weirdly delicious.

This weekend my friend Katie and I decided to do culture and visited the Serpentine Pavilion, this year designed by Selgascano. We played for a bit, marvelled at it’s shiny insides and took some polaroids of us looking baffled then headed off to Sticks & Sushi for some chow. It’s really cool and colourful and we expect its great lit up at night.

My sister and I managed to fit in a breakfast date last weekend at Tart London’s pop up in Queens Gate. Tart specialise in on-site cooking for fashion and film shoots and we were pretty pleased to snag a table before they close this weekend. We really enjoyed their food, especially the Indian scrambled eggs which were out of this world. We really hope they find a permanent spot so we can come a’brunchin.
Also really excited by possible book prospects – need that egg recipe.

I’ve been dying to go to Spring Restaurant at Somerset House for some time now and I finally went for my 23rd birthday last week. It was the most beautiful birthday setting. The interiors made me swoon, particularly the porcelain wall installation by artist Valeria Nascimento.
It was also a welcome chance to dress up – accessorised with my new scarf from & Other Stories that I’m obsessed with. Wearing H & M top, & Other Stories scarf and Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Hepburn Honey.
I have to mention that the food was delicious too – I ate far too much, as per.
I’m older but definitely not wiser.

The kind of breakfasts that dreams are made of, well in my opinion anyway.
Lucky Charms for the win, every time.
