Following the September 2016 runway show, for one week, Burberry transformed a former Foyle’s bookstore into a cafe and showroom to celebrate the launch of their new collection. The London show venue was opened to the public and made home to a different group of Britain’s finest makers each day, who could be seen practicing their craft. These ranged from sculpting and embroidery to caligraphy and miniature portraiture. Not only this, but there was the chance to see the collection up close.

We loved how interactive Makers House was, and it was so inspiring to see how the collection was brought to life. Even better was the joy of finishing off the experience with a coffee and some cake from the beautiful Thomas’s cafe cake table – and a trip into the studio photobooth before the line got too long!

Watch the Burberry Show on here via youtube which was hosted at Makers House – the music is out of this world.

I visited the Tate Modern’s new building, Switch House last weekend. It was only a flying visit where we did a quick overview of the new galleries, got a coffee at Albion and then onto brunch at the Mondrian down the road. I am definitley booking in to go back to see the Georgia O’Keefe exhibit that is currently on at the main gallery when I’m not preocupied with finding the best hangover cure possible – FYI the Mondrian’s breakfast burrito did the trick…

Sundays

9 AM, West Wittering Beach, West Sussex.

I wanted to make the most of the sun this weekend with a trip to the beach. My nearest is West Wittering down in West Sussex – about an hour from where I am in South London. It’s really a beautiful sandy beach with the dunes giving it a real Cape Cod feel. Inevitably, sunny weekends are usually rammed because of the picturesque surroundings so naturally, I was there at 9am. And it was perfect weather, great for strolling along and cuddling the frolicking dogs of the passers by.

Wearing Zara broderie anglaise top & scarf, Woolrich coat.

HOME

Unfortunately its not yet socially acceptable to wear slippers to work, but when it finally does happen, I’ll be there in these bad boys. These Ugg fluff clogs are honestly the cosiest thing I’ve ever encountered.

Pink details:

T-shirt from & Other Stories, Aesop hand balm, Chocolate from Mast Brothers & a bottle of Léoube sparkling rosé.

BLUES

Easter Bow

Had my finest on for Easter Sunday last weekend.

I got this Thomas Mason J.Crew shirt for my birthday – kudos to mother for picking up hints. I’m a massive J.crew nerd so their shirts are some of my staple wardrobe pieces.

SPRING

Birthday

Spring Birthday

I’ve been dying to go to Spring Restaurant at Somerset House for some time now and I finally went for my 23rd birthday last week. It was the most beautiful birthday setting. The interiors made me swoon, particularly the porcelain wall installation by artist Valeria Nascimento.

It was also a welcome chance to dress up – accessorised with my new scarf from & Other Stories that I’m obsessed with. Wearing H & M top, & Other Stories scarf and Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Hepburn Honey.

I have to mention that the food was delicious too – I ate far too much, as per.

I’m older but definitely not wiser.

SKY GARDEN

London

Vertigo inducing outings this weekend at the Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street, London.

I visited the Sky Bar on Saturday on an exploratory mission and it definitely didn’t disappoint. It offers up incredible panoramic views of London, with its modern structure complimented by a lush indoor garden. In addition to the Sky Bar there are two restaurants, but it’s free to visit the Sky Garden if you just want to check out the inner city greenery and killer views whilst enjoying a cocktail or a coffee. I bet it’s amazing by night too…an excuse to go back!

& Other Stories Jumper, Moss Copenhagen Scarf, Topshop Trousers and Adidas Superstars.
