ICELANDIC THROWBACK

Here’s a throwback tour through my travels in Iceland a couple of months ago…  Some girlfriends and I rented an Airbnb apartment in central Reykjavik and spent three nights exploring both the city itself – and some of the ethereal landscapes further afield. We covered the main tourist spots, but really want to return to see some of the locations further afield, like Vik. Reykjavik is totally walkable…

JAMES TURRELL, LIGHTSCAPES

Houghton Hall, Norfolk. Raethro, Red, 1968 – Projection Piece. A couple of weeks ago I visited the James Turrell’s Lightscape exhibit at Houghton Hall in Norfolk. It’s a bit of a way away from London, but if you happen to be in the area it displays some really cool light scenes and the grounds of Houghton Hall are beautiful and relaxing, total city escape.

BATH

I visited Bath for the first time recently. I’m a huge Hay fan and Bath is where their first UK store is situated so we went on a bit of a pilgrimage. Between rain showers we proceeded to shop, enjoy the architecture and made a coffee stop at Society Cafe. I rate their cappuccino.  We also made a pit stop to see the Royal Crescent…

Serpentine Pavilion ’15

This weekend my friend Katie and I decided to do culture and visited the Serpentine Pavilion, this year designed by Selgascano. We played for a bit, marvelled at it’s shiny insides and took some polaroids of us looking baffled then headed off to Sticks & Sushi for some chow.
