Christianshavn is a canal-heavy area of Copenhagen which blends a seafaring Dutch vibe with that distinct sense of Danish modernism.

We headed there in the hope of some up-close apartment snooping ops and of locating Parterre (pictured above), a French-inspired cafe which we’d stumbled across on Instagram.

LOL of the day came a little later, when we stumbled across a group of eager Segwayers (sadly not pictured) outside the Black Diamond library – a bold method of sightseeing, and weirdly mesmerising to look at.

Find Parterre on Instagram here (no known website as of yet).

Paté Paté

The coolest restaurant in the already-super-cool Meatpacking District, Paté Paté. Still lots of sister establishments to explore…

Screen shot 2014-08-03 at 12.08.13 Atelier September, an antiques shop-turned-cafe, has been referenced by almost every hip Copenhagenista. Perfect breakfast spot – they’re famous for their avocado toast.
